About The Courses

Two diploma courses namely. Diploma in Pharmacy and Diploma in Medical Lab Technology are offered at this Institute.

Diploma in Pharmacy

The course of academic study for the Diploma in Pharmacy is of two years duration with minimum of 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than of 500 hours, covered in about three months

The course of study in Diploma in Pharmacy comprises of two parts. Part I is covered in the Ist year and Part II is covered in the second year. There shall be examination in the first year on the subjects of Part-I and in the second year on the subjects of part-II

Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT)

The course of study in Diploma in Medical Lab Technology is covered under semester systems. There shall be four semesters, and examinations will be held after every six months during the two years of duration and in the third year one year practical training in Govt. / Pvt. Hospital.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (4 Years)

The course of academic study for the Bachelor of Pharmacy is of four years duration with minimum of 180 working days per year

Attendance:

As per Haryana State Board of Technical Education, the affiliating authority for Diploma courses, 75% attendance is must to be eligible for appearing in the annual examination as well semester system examinations of the Board.

Fee:

Fee and other charges are levied as prescribed by the Haryana State Board of Technical Education.

Annual Intake: 60 seats in each Diploma Course.

Salient Features of the Diploma Programme in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)

Pattern of the Programme Semester System (each semester is of 16 weeks and each week has 36-40 contact hours for academic work).
Practical/Professional Training

To develop practical skills in the students, in final year (fifth and sixth semester), only practical/professional training in various medical colleges/hospitals/clinical laboratories has been incorporated. Regular processing of specimen in the laboratory from nearby clinic/hospital to be done in the laboratory during first to fourth semester.

Industry-Institute Interaction (a)

Regular visits to Hospitals/Medical Colleges/Clinical laboratories form regular part of each curriculum area. Reports by students must be insisted upon.

Extension lectures – a minimum of 4 lectures per semester are recommended by inviting professionals from field to deliver extension lectures/ demonstration on specialized topics.
